Ardella Jewell Cole

Ardella Jewell Cole, 81 of Huntington, WV, formerly of Logan, WV, departed this life Saturday September 21, 2019 at Trinity Healthcare Services of Logan. She was born August 8, 1938 at Logan, WV to the late Hobert and Fannie (White) Gibson. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Ronald Cole; son, Ronnie Cole; sister, Helen Wilburn; and brother, Doug Gibson. Ardella was employed with St. Mary’s Medical Center for 25 years and she was a dedicated member of the 10th Avenue Church of God at Huntington, WV. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Debbie (Tommy) Lawrence of Logan; son, Randy Cole of Fayetteville, NC; 4 grandsons, Tommy Lawrence Jr., Timmy Lawrence, Randall Cole, and Sean Cole; great-grandson, Timmy Mathew Lawrence; sisters, Sandra Webb, Loretta Cash, Drema (George) Cantrell, and Lucy Davis all of Indianapolis, IN; brother, Teddy Gibson of Indianapolis, IN; and her best friend, Mildred Roy. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday September 28, 2019 at the West Logan Church of God with Pastor Darrell Buttram officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Pallbearers will be Tommy Lawrence Jr., Timmy Lawrence, Randall Cole, Sean Cole, Kevin Stone, Don Queen, and Tommy Lawrence Sr. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Friday September 27, 2019 at Akers-James Funeral Home at Logan.
