Arthur Marcum

Arthur Lee Marcum age 74 of Lenore passed away Sunday January 14, 2007 at CAMC-Memorial Division in Charleston, WV.He was born July 3, 1932 in Mingo County. He was the son of the late James and Vinna Mae Tackett Marcum. He was a Coal Miner and a Saw Mill Worker and a veteran of the Korean War. He was also a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by 3 Sisters: Judy Yates, Laura Bell Basiden and Eula Elliott, 2 Brothers: Earl and Lonnie Marcum. Survivors include his wife: Goldie Marcum, 3 Sons: David, Jerry and Timothy Marcum, 1 Daughter: Anita Louise Marcum Lackey, 4 Brothers: Phillip, Donald, Melvin and BillMarcum, 12 Grandchildren: Brandon, Clyde, Bradley, Keith, Jessica, Terea, Jeromy, Amber, Brian, Marla, Eddie and Elisha and a host of other family and frinds. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday January 18, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at James Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in the Marcum Cemetery at his home on Laurel Creek with Military Graveside services conducted. Visitation will be from 6-9 P.M. Wednesday January 17, 2007 at James Funeral Home.
