Artie Marie Howe

Artie Marie Howe, 101, went to be with the Lord on October 15, 2007 at her residence in Whitman, WV where she resided with her Granddaughter Katheryn Pansera. Born October 5, 1906 in Wayne Co. WV, she was the daughter of the late James Matthews and Ida Katherine Dyer Matthews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Clarence E. Howe;3 precious daughters, Etta Katheryn, LaDonna Lorraine, Phyllis Joy, and a son, Charles Denver Howe. She was a homemaker and a loving mother. She was the grandmother of 8 grandchildren; Frank Bartletta Jr., Katheryn Pansera, Randy Williamson, Cean Chaffin, Ralph Jett Jr., Harold Edward Miller, Larry Miller and Natalie Moore; 10 Great Grandchildren and 5 Great-Great Grandchildren who were very special to her. She was a member of the #20 Whitman Community Church and loved singing for the Lord. Artie lived a long, wonderful life and was a joy and inspiration to many. She will be sadly missed by family and friends. A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2007 at 6:00pm at the # 20 Whitman Community Church at Whitman, WV. Services will be conducted on Friday, October 19, 2007 at 2:00pm at the church, with Pastor Joaquine Ooten officiating. Family and Friends will serve as Pallbearers. Her final resting place will be Highland Memory Gardens at Godby Heights. James Funeral Home of West Logan is in charge of the arrangements.
