Barbara Ruth Hughes

Barbara Ruth Hughes, 76 of Logan, WV passed away Sunday, September 4, 2022.

She was born January 7, 1946, to the late Grover and Norma (Duty) Tackett. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Dallas Lee Tackett, Glen Tackett, Paul Tackett, and John Tackett, sisters, Elizabeth Pinkerton, and Mary Tackett.

Ruth was a very kindhearted, generous woman. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She is loved by all that knew her and will be missed dearly.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Hughes; sons, Scott Hughes and Stephen Hughes; grandchildren, Alexis Hughes, Kaylee Hughes, and Emily Hughes; great-grandchildren, Maliah Cyrus and Kingston Dempsey; sisters, Veluadean Stepp, Martha (Joseph) Bedrin, Aloria Free, and Noami Miller. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2022 at Akers-James Funeral Home with Rev. Bill McDonald officiating. Burial will follow in Highalnd Memory Gardens at Godby. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service, Friday at the funeral home.

Those who have the honor to serve as pallbearers will be family and friends.
