Barbara (Poochie) A. Ellis Tomblin

Barbara A. Ellis "Poochie" Tomblin, 73, of Pecks Mill passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at Logan Regional Medical Center after a short term illness. She was born October 16, 1933 in Logan. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Winnie Deskins Ellis. Her husband, Landon Tomblin and one brother, Jerry Ellis. Four aunts; Pearl Bailey, Harriet Roberts, Helen Scites and Lora Evans. Survivors inlcude a daughter, Linda (Berlin) Reed of Hanover. One son, Donald (Velma) Smith of Belton, Texas. Her grand-child, Melody Smith (James Saylor) of Ikes Fork. Five grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, September 13, 2007 from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M. at James Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Friday, September 14, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at James Funeral Home with Rev. James Cline officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Pallbearers will be Radford Smith, Jimmy Rowe, Marshall Reed, Miniard (June Bug) McCellan, Dwayne Reed and Jamie Taylor. Condolences may be left at www.jamesfh.com.
