Bessie Vance

Our beloved Bessie Vance, 60 of Shamrock went home to be with the Lord on Thursday March 29, 2018 at her sister Edna’s residence. She was born August 9, 1957 at Logan to the late James Marcum and Betty Marcum Pennington. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by: her husband, Robert “Bob” Vance; daughter, Mellissa Gail Workman; brother, James Greg Marcum; sisters, Alice Marie White and Ola June Marcum; and son-in-law, Kenneth Gordon Tomblin Jr. She is survived by: her daughters, Angel Marie Tomblin and Sunshine (Mack) Brumfield both of Shamrock; grandson, Codey Tomblin of Shamrock; great-grandson, Hayden Vance of Shamrock; sisters, Edna (Ray) Marcum of Shamrock and Drema Vance of Wilkinson; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was greatly loved and will be missed. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday April 10, 2018 at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Barney Goins officiating. Pallbearers will be: Ray Marcum, Scottie Plumley, Chris White, Kenneth Hendricks, and Nem Vance.
