Mrs. Betty Damron 77 of Verdunville formerly of East Fork of Twelve Pole went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday September 30, 2008 at CAMC Memorial Division in Charleston. She was born October 16, 1931 in Logan she was the daughter of the late Silvester and Virginia Vance. She was preceded in death by her husband James (Jim) Damron and precious daughter Sue Masters, Four Sisters and Two Brothers. Betty was a homemaker who loved her children she loved to cook and quilt. Her greatest joy was to serve her Lord and be with her children and church family who she loved deeply. She was a member of the Mt. Moriah United Baptist Church East Fork of Twelve Pole. She is survived by her children: Rhoda (Henry) McAlister of La Porte, Indiana, David (Connie) Damron of Verdunville, Carol (Dan) Willis of Peach Creek, Vallie (Dwayne) King of Sod, WV and Son-in-law: Bill Masters of New Carlisle, Indiana, One Brother: John Wesley Vance of Logan, 11 Grandchildren: Tina, James and Jessica McAlister, Billy, Bobby and Beth Masters, Kandie Damron, Lori Willis, Gabe and Hannah King and Alex Hall, 8 Great Grandchildren, 3 Very Special Friends: Jean, Mary and Magaline. Special Thanks to her caregivers: Connie, Barry and Lisa. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday October 4, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Mt. Moriah United Baptist Church East Fork of Twelve Pole with Elders Sid Stroud, David Messer and Donnie Maynard officiating. Burial will follow ine the Vance, Hager McCloud Cemetery on East Fork of Twelve Pole. Visitation will be after 6:00 P.M. Friday October 3, 2008 at the church. Pallbearers will be: Alex Hall, Gabe King, James McAlister,Henry McAlister, Billy Ray Masters and Bill Masters. Honorary pallbearers will be: Dwayne King and Dan Willis.
