Beulah (Boots) Marie Barrett Hurley

Beulah Marie “Boots” Barrett Hurley, 84 of 315 Courthouse Road, Princeton, WV left her earthly home and entered her heavenly home on Monday, October 16, 2017. Boots formally lived at Verdunville, Whitman, and Logan until 2004 when she moved to Princeton Healthcare Center in Princeton, WV. She was a long-time employee of Logan General Hospital. While her health permitted, she was an active member of Mona Hill Freewill Baptist Church and #14 Whitman Freewill Baptist Church. She was born on July 31, 1933 in Wyanoke, WV to the late John and Mamie Taylor Barrett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Hurley, her daughter, Vicki Hurley Mullins, her step-daughter, Winford Hurley Ollis, and her brothers, Eddie Barrett and Harry Barrett. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Hurley Hawkins of Bluefield, WV, her sons-in-law, Mike Hawkins of Bluefield, WV, Vernon Mullins of Logan, WV and Robert Ollis of Maryville, TN, her brother, John (Marlena) Barrett, Jr.of North Manchester, Indiana and her sister, Mary (Frank) Musick of North Manchester, Indiana. She is also survived by her granddaughters, Oma (CJ) Mullins Lopez of Richmond, KY, Mary Beth (Erick) Hawkins Burgess of Bluefield, WV, Jayme Michelle Hawkins of Bluefield, WV, Ruth Fay Mullins of Logan, WV, Kathryn Ollis Peace of Marietta, GA, and Becca (Ian) Ollis Bannister of Marietta, GA, her grandsons Nathan (Ashley) Mullins of Chesapeake, Ohio and Robert Ollis, Jr. of Marietta, GA. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Homecoming services will be Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 2PM at Akers-James Funeral Home with Rev. Barney Goins officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Family will receive visitors from 12 PM until the time of the service at the Akers-James Funeral Home at West Logan, WV.
