Billy Edward White Sr.

Billy Edward White Sr., 73 of Whitman, WV passed away at his home on February 2, 2023 due to longtime heart issues.

He was born 7/4/1949 to the late Roy and Effie White of Crooked Creek. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brother, Phillip “PW” White of Logan.

Survivors include his loving wife of 50 plus years, Sharon White; children, Melissa White of Whitman; Vanessa White of Conover, NC, and Billy (Katelyn) White Jr. of Whitman; grandchildren, Edward Canterbury IV, Justin Canterbury, Brandon Canterbury, all of Raleigh, NC, Trevor Alford, Trenton Alford, A’meliyah Osborne all of Whitman, Cody (Pauline) White of Eagle River, AK, Hannah O’Shields of Conover, NC, Brayden White, Hallie White, Isabella White all of Whitman;  great-grandchildren, Draygen Dante Lee Justice of Statesville, NC, Duke Lee Edward White of Eagle River, AK, and 5 other great-grandchildren; sisters, Kathy White of Crooked Creek, and Judy Ball of Logan, and brother, Curtis (Sarah) White of Crooked Creek.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at Akers-James Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Upper McDonald Cemetery at Crooked Creek. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until the time of the service, Tuesday at the funeral home.
