Blanche Tolliver born December 23, 1926 in Hurts, Virginia to Carrie and Willie Clemons. She moved to Logan, West Virginia with her parents and six siblings where they all started a new life. Blanche married Josh Tolliver Sr. in 1950 and they raised and supported 13 children and other family members over the years. A pillar in the community and was a faithful church member at the OGC Taplin, WV. An excellent cook who received rave reviews for her pastry (baking) skills; and absolutely dedicated to her disabled children.
She was predeceased by her parents, Carrie and Willie Clemons; husband: Josh Tolliver Sr; siblings: Signora Clemons Harris, Mae Bertha Childs (Bruce ), Leola Bostick (Sellers), Myrtle Page (Mack ), Alphonso Clemons, and James Clemons; children: Beatrice Banks, Irene Banks, Josh Tolliver Jr., Glen Tolliver, Marvin Tolliver, and Kenneth Tolliver.
Left to cherish her memories are her children: Gloria Jean Banks of Ohio, Charlene Tolliver of Indiana, Mary Reynolds (Andrew), Vivian Tolliver, Darlene Moore (Henry), Terri Lynn Tolliver, and Gregory Tolliver all whom reside in West Virginia; and her sister Annie Mae Sherrod (George) of Maryland, as well as her many generations of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous extended family members and friends.
