Bobby Darrell Copley

Bobby Darrell Copley Sr., made his journey home on September 28, 2021 at Logan Regional Medical Center. He was born June 2, 1946 at Logan, WV to Louella (Roberts) Copley and the late Donald B. Copley. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Kelsie O’Neal (Davis) Copley; son, Bobby D. Copley Jr., and brother, Gary Copley. Bobby was a member of the Greenview Church of Christ and he loved his church family. He was employed with Dingess Rum Coal Company for more than 25 years. Bobby was a true outdoorsman, and loved being out in the hills digging ginseng. He also loved taking trips to Tennessee and gardening. Those left to cherish his memory include his son, David (Julie) Copley of Man, WV; grandchildren, Autum Copley of Charleston, WV, Emma Copley, and Tommy “Cody” Copley, both of Ethel, WV. Bobby is loved and missed by a host of brothers, sisters, in-laws, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 1, 2021 at Akers-James Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Runyon officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until the time of the service, Friday at the funeral home.
