Carlos Lee Vance, 82, of Dingess, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Trinity Healthcare Services of Logan.
Born March 23, 1932, he was the son of the late Floyd and Bessie Vance of Dingess. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Earsel Tony Vance and Douglas McArthur Vance, both of Dingess; three sisters: Lila Fay Vance of Dingess, Loretta Vance Dempsey of Illinois and Ivory Jean Vance Keck, both of Illinois; one brother-in-law, Wade Marcum of Dingess; and one sister-in-law, Audrey Vance of Dingess.
Those left to cherish his memory include one sister, Jannie Vance Marcum of Dingess; five brothers: Lonzo Vance of Dingess, Medley (Christine) Vance of Alabama, Arnold (Judy) Vance of Dingess, Floyd Willie (Regina) Vance of Illinois, and Dallas (Virginia) Vance of Dingess; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins who he loved and will deeply miss him.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 19, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Samaria Old Regular Baptist Church in Dingess. Burial will follow at the Prince and Dillon Cemetery in Dingess. Friends may call at the church after 4 p.m. on Sunday, January 18, 2015.
