Carol Rose Adkins

Carol Adkins, 87 of Henlawson, WV departed this life Tuesday morning, October 22, 2019 at her daughter Wanda’s residence with her family by her side. She was born April 28th, 1932 at Lovely KY to the late Ken Chaffins and Gay Evans. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Darwin Adkins, her brothers, Aron Chaffins and Jeff Chaffins and grandson Tracy Dale. Carol lived in Henlawson all her adult life and was a longstanding member of the Yuma Church of Christ She is survived by her sons, Donnie Adkins, Thomas Adkins, Tracy Adkins and Delbert Adkins; her daughters Amanda Hicks, Wanda Conley and Juanita Adair; brother, Columbus Chaffins; sister, Mary Hinkle; 19 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held Thursday, October 24th at Akers-James Funeral Home from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and the funeral will be held at the Yuma Church of Christ on Friday, October 25th at 11:00 AM with minister Denny Collins and Pastor Don Adkins officiating.
