Carolyn Sue Shell

Carolyn Sue Shell, 71 of Crooked Creek, went home to be with the lord on April 6, 2023.

She was born March 1, 1952, at Logan, WV to the late Howard Blankenship and Easter Vinson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Pearl Brown; two brothers, Arthur “Squeeze” Blankenship and Richard Blankenship; two sisters, Ruth Caserta and Patty Blankenship Marcum.

Carolyn was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a faithful member of the Church of the Living God.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 52 years, Randall L. Shell; three daughters, Angie (Mark) Hicks, April Oney and Annette (Chris) Hall; four grandchildren, Joey and Matthew Hicks, Brooke Hall and Tyler Oney; three sisters, Billie (Doug) Sparks, Brenda (Rick) Winters and Marie Lambert; many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Monday April 10, 2023, at 1:00 at Akers-James Funeral Home with visitation starting at 12:00. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
