Mrs. Celia Ann Hatfield, 63, of Neibert, WV went home peacefully to be with her heavenly Father, Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at CAMC Memorial Hospital in Charleston, WV.
She was such an amazing inspiration to everyone throughout her battle. She was a two-year survivor of esophageal cancer. She faced several health issues head on never waning faith, but the good Lord had other plans for her and called her home.
She was born March 31, 1957, the daughter of the late Walter and Daisy (Walls) Russell. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death in by her sister and brother in law Mary (Earl) Calloway, her sister and brother in law Linda (Ira) White, her brothers Walter Russell Jr and Michael Russell her father n law Ellis(Buck) Hatfield, her brother and sister in law Gary and Ronna Hatfield and her brothers in law Donnie Bevins, infant nieces JanDara and Danielle Bevins and Westly (Kevin) Hatfield and a son in law Larry Hill.
She leaves behind her loving husband and childhood sweetheart Tom Hatfield of 46 years, her pride and joy daughters Julie Hill (fiancé Daniel Smith) and Tommie Alice (Brian) Garrett, who cherished her with everything in them. Her sisters Jody(Larry) Hatfield and Carol(Johnny) Farley, her brothers Emmett (Martha) Russell and Roy (Myra) Russell, her Mother in law Joyce Hatfield, her sisters in law Karen(Jimmy) Hill, Regina Bevins, and Kimberly(William) Pullin, and brother in law Barry Hatfield.
She was also known as âNannyâ to Bridgette (Mikey) Mounts and Samantha (Lige) Adkins, her âgrandkidsâ Emilee and Luke Mounts, Braxton Carroll, Layla Adkins and Derek Smith which she adored and loved with her whole heart.
Her special fur babies Laynee, Jax and Tia.
She leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends.
She loved all her church family at Cornerstone Family Fellowship.
She was a 1975 graduate of Logan High School. She loved being outdoors, fishing, enjoying nature, planting every kind of flower there is, cooking for her family, and visiting with neighbors and friends.
She was loved by all who knew her, and she never met a stranger. Once you met her you would never forget her smile or loving spirit.
Visitation will be held Monday June 22, 2020 at Cornerstone Family Fellowship Church from 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2020 also at the church at 105 Whitman Creek Rd, Whitman, WV 25652 with Pastor Richard Belcher officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill, WV.
Pallbearers will be nephews, friends and family. Honorary pallbearers are Larry Hatfield and Johnny Farley.
