Charles Michael Fleming

Charles Michael Fleming, (Mike), 69, of Crooked Creek, West Virginia passed unexpectedly on Thursday, August 10th, 2023, at his residence

He was born on August 24th, 1953, in Logan, West Virginia.  His parents are Charles Franklin Fleming and the late, Levedah Faye McNeely Fleming.

Mike was a retired heavy equipment operator.  He worked at Ed White strip mines at Whitesville, West Virginia. In addition, he worked at West Cazy strip mines in Boone County. 

He is preceded in death by his mother, Levedah Faye McNeely Fleming. Brother, Ralph Keith Fleming. Sister-in-law, Connie Lynn Balentine Fleming and great-nephew, Ryan Keith Fleming. 

Surviving is his father, Charles Franklin Fleming of Crooked Creek, West Virginia.  Daughter, Katie LeDale Fleming of Crooked Creek, West Virginia. Son, Kyle Ross Pittman of Crooked Creek, West Virginia.

Sister, Anita (Sammy) Gore of Chapmanville, West Virginia.Brother, Bruce (Donna) Fleming of Peach Creek, West Virginia and Eric (Rhonda) Fleming of Crooked Creek, West Virginia. A very special uncle and aunt, James and Betty Fleming of Harts, West Virginia. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Akers-James Funeral Home in Logan, West Virginia, on Wednesday, August 16th, 2023, at 2:00 pm. Visitation will be 12:00 to 2:00 pm. Burial will be at the Whitman-McNeely Cemetery at Crooked Creek, West Virginia.Pastor Jody Bias will be officiating. 

Pallbearers will be Todd Fleming, Kevin Fleming, Chris Kirtley, Zatto Gore, Daniel Fleming, A. J. Pentz, Ernest (Bootsy) Adams, Brian Shell, Pete Welch, Butch Dudding, Kyle Pittman and Josh Michaloff.

Honorary pallbearers are Joseph Dudding and Thomas (Frankie) Dudding.
