Christopher David Workman 39 of Verdunville passed away Friday September 19, 2008 at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington. He was born September 14, 1969 in Paintsville, Ky. the son of Brenda Workman. He was preceded in death by his Grandfather Edgar Workman, his Great Grandfather Matthew Carter, a special cousin Tonia Hinchman and Briana Porter the mother of his daughter. Additional survivors his precious daughter Maranda Workman who was the light of his life. Stepfather David Morrison of Logan, Stepbrother Jere Morrison of Logan, Grandmother Irene Workman of Danville, Grandfather Stanley Fitzwater of Danville, Great Grandmother Edna Carter of Verdunville, Aunt Irma (Roger) Allen of Beckley, Uncle James (Virginia) Workman of Knoksville, Tenn., Uncle Danny (Barbara) Workman of North Carolina, his cats Buggar, Haily and Boots. And a large Loving extended family and a host of friends. Chris was a Neon Sign Maker. Chris was of the Baptist Faith . Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday September 24, 2008 at First Baptist Church at McConnell with Rev. John Godby officiating. Burial will follow in Family Cemetery at Verdunville. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. at James Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be David Woosley, David Jeffers, Timmy Conley, Eric Workman, Josh Webb and Gabe Webb. Honorary Pallbearers will be Thomas Richards, Stanley Fitzwater, Phillip Porter, David Morrison, Jere Morrison, J.D. Morrison and Kevin Ballard. In Lieu of Flowers the Family request donations be made to the First Baptist Church of McConnell. Condolences may be sent to www.jamesfh.com James Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
