Clarence Adkins Jr. "Bud" 59 of Hoboken, Georgia formerly of Ethel, WV passed away Sunday February 27, 2011 at Satilla Regional Hospital in Waycross, Georgia. Born May 9, 1951 in Logan he was the son of the late Clarence and Pauline Adkins of Logan. Also preceding him in death was one sister Lois Adams.
Clarence was a retired Iron Worker and he served in the United States Marine Corps. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Kay White Adkins, one son David S. Adkins (Gloria) of Waycross, Georgia, one daughter Tina (Jeff) Birthisil of Hinesville, Georgia, one brother Ralph Hanshaw of Columbus, Ohio, four sisters Donna (Frank) Collili and Florence (Bill) Matney both of Columbus, Ohio, Janet (Roy) Noe of Saint Albans, Linda Swift of Inwood, WV and one special brother-in-law John David White of Danville, three grandchildren and a host of family and friends who loved him.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday March 4, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the Victory Freewill Baptist Church at Mill Creek with Rev. Roscoe Chafin officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens with military graveside services. Visitation will be from 6-9 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
