Clarence E. Young

Clarence E. Young, 84 of Verdunville (son of Mary Alice Young and Ezekiel B. Young) departed this world from the comfort of his home on January 24^th, 2022.

He is preceded in death by wives Ruth Ann and Delores Faye. Brothers: Douglas, Ezekiel, and Cecil. Sisters: Betty and Macil.

Born at 22 Holden and raised in Verdunville, he was a graduate of Logan High school. Upon graduation in 1955 he began a career at the A&P Company. He worked there for 41 years until his retirement. Mr. Young was a loving husband, devoted father, and devout Christian. He was an active member of the Verdunville church of God as well as a host of other local churches. His hobbies included cooking, gardening, and a passion for animals, especially chickens, doves, and other birds. All who had the pleasure of knowing him will remember him as a kind, loving and gentle soul.

 He is survived by two sons: Keith Young of Orlando F.L. Kevin (Teresa) Young of Danville, W.V. Three grandchildren: Sarah (Young) White, Ray Young and Shiloh Young. Two great grandchildren: Roger and Ashlyn Watts. Nieces Gwen, Annette, Susan, and Mary Beth and nephews Greg, Charles, and David. As well as many other special loved ones and numerous friends.

Honoring his wishes his remains are to be cremated and no services held.
