Daniel Scott Ooten

Daniel Scott Ooten 18 of Columbus, Ohio formerly of Belfry, Ky., went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday February 4, 2009 at his residence. He was born September 26, 1990 at Huntington, WV. Daniel was a happy, vibrant soul who brought joy and purpose to everyone he met with charm and humor. He was a special person and made all those he touched feel loved and special. Daniel was preceded in death by his great grandparents Jack and Elizabeth Dempsey. He was also preceded in death by his great aunt Imogene White, his aunt Carol Anne Dempsey Collins and his uncle Phil Dempsey. Survivors include his Mother Christy Fields of Columbus, Ohio and his sister Emily Ooten also of Columbus, Ohio additional family left to cherish Daniel's memory include his great grandmother Edna Block of Inez, Ky., his grandparents Pyrus and Jewell Fields of Inez. Ky., Aunt Bethany (Chris) Dotson of Griffithsville, Uncle Rodney (Michele) Fields of Logan and special friend Brandon Maynard of Columbus, Ohio. He will also be missed by four very special cousins Caleb and Ethan Dotson of Griffithsville and Paige and Savannah Fields of Logan and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday February 28 , 2009 at James Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Wayne Runyon officiating. Entombment will follow in Mount View Memory Gardens Mausoleum at Maher, WV. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Friday February 27, 2009 at James Funeral Home.
