Danny Ray Picklesimer, 56, of Hidden Valley was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 10, 2007 at Logan Regional Medical Center. He was born September 18, 1950 to the late John and Freda Cook Picklesimer. Danny was a member of the U.M.W.A, a 20 year employee of Island Creek Coal Co. and also attended the 20 Whitman Community Church. Danny is survived by his wife, Nettie Picklesimer. Two brothers; Jerry (Diane) Picklesimer and Mike (Margret) Picklesimer. Two step-sons; Frank (Roberta) Evans and David (Doris) Evans. Three grandsons; Robert, Josh and David Evans. One niece, Kimberly (Anthony) May. Two nephews; Mike and B.J Picklesimer. Danny is also survived by his uncles, Jimmy Cook of Cross Lanes, Frank Cook of Charlotte, NC. His aunts; Garnett Rucker of Tennesse, Linda Pohasky of North Carolina, Elnora Clark of Virginia and Deanna Chafins of Columbus, Ohio. He is also survived by many friends and other family at 21 Holden. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 12, 2007 from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M. at James Funeral Home where special services will begin at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be Thursday, September 13, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at the James Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joaquine Ooten and Rev. John T. Vance officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby. Pallbearers will be Johnny Sheppard, Glen "Boo" Sheppard, Matthew Sheppard, Ermel Sheppard, David Ray Toney, Frakie Cook Jr., Toby Toney, and Mike Picklesimer Jr. Condolences may be left at www.jamesfh.com.
