Deborah Kay Rice Pearson

On Friday, February 21, 2020 Deborah Kay (Rice) Pearson departed this life at her residence. She was born February 26, 1958 at Williamson, WV to the late Susie and Dan Rice. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Bobby Bowling, Jim Bowling, and Danny Rice. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. Debbie enjoyed life to the fullest, she never met a stranger and had a smile for everyone. Her laughter was contagious. She is survived by her loving husband, Roger Pearson; daughter, Mi’Cole Staton; sons, Derrick and Corey Pearson, and Stevin Staton; granddaughters, Kiara Pearson and Nevaeh Jessup; sisters, Mildred Jones, Kathryn (Bill) Hatfield, Dixie (Jeff) Callahan, Gail (Fred) Gesser, Carol Phipps, Eva Huntley and Lisa (Clarence) Pruitt. Debbie had a host of nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. She will forever be in our hearts. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at Akers-James Funeral Home with Minister Norma Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service, Tuesday at the funeral home.
