We are devastated to announce the passing of Delana “Rosie” Mullins of Chapmanvile.
Rosie left us peacefully at her home on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. Rosie as she liked to be called was the gentlest soul and the kindest woman to ever live. She was an artist and painted frequently for her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her beautiful daughter, Corey Hamaker, and beloved sister, Rebecca Hamaker.
Rosie is survived by her son, Brett Bailey of Chapmanville; grandchildren, Eugene Johnson, and Riley Johnson; father and stepmother, David (Debra) Adkins of Chapmanville; mother and stepfather, Ida (Roger) Walls of Pecks Mill; sisters, Michelle (Michael) Kelly of Richmond, VA, Bella Adkins of Vero Beach, FL, Sherry Settle of Palm Bay, FL, and Marcella Wert Angier of North Carolina; brothers, Roger Walls Jr. of Pecks Mill, and Randy (Teresa) McClellan of North Carolina; special sister, Amanda Carter of Logan; special brother, Michael (Brandy) Boling of Parkersburg, WV; her truest friend, Chuck Mullins of Logan, and a host of nieces and nephews that she loved with her entire heart.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Akers-James Funeral Home with Clarence Lee Edward officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Visitation will be from 12:30 – 2:30 also at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Griffen Williams, Draven Williams, Chuck Mullins, Mike Carter, Derrick Thompson, and Dalton Thompson.
