Dennis McCloud

Dennis McCloud, 71 of Dingess, WV went home to be with the Lord Thursday, April 10, 2025 at Logan Regional Medical Center.

He was born November 6, 1953, at Holden, WV to the late Garland and Hazel (Collins) McCloud. In addition, he was also preceded in death by his son, Dennis “DJ” McCloud II; brothers, Jennings McCloud, Todd McCloud, Freddy McCloud, and Rinnie McCloud; sisters, Cora Church and Loraine Brown.

Dennis was a member and a Deacon at the Cornerstone Christian Center. He was a retired coal miner and loved to spend his retirement traveling and tending to his farm.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 51 years, Karen (Rockel) McCloud; daughter, Missy (Jason) Smith; grandchildren, Allison (Isaac) Moore, Madison McCloud (fiancé Brycen Gore), great-grandchild, Dayton James Moore; sisters, Sylvia Baisden, Edie Smith, and Theresa Nelson, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2025 at the Cornerstone Christian Center with Pastor Eddie Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the McCloud Cemetery at Dingess. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2025 also at the church.

Pallbearers will be Isaac Moore, Brysen Gore, Jason Smith, Aaron Perry, Mark Rockel, and David Rockel.
