Doris Jarrell, 89 of Peach Creek passed away Monday December 21, 2015 at Logan Regional Medical Center. She was born July 11, 1926 in Henlawson the daughter of the late Green Brumfield and Lillie Whitman Brumfield. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her brother Paul G. Brumfield, her sister Mildred Brumfield and her husband Jace Jarrell.
Doris was the Postmaster in Peach Creek for 10 years and a member of LRMC Auxiliary for 22 years serving as President for 3 years. Doris also founded the Logan Chapter of the Red Hat Society and was Queen Bee for 15 years. A member of the Crooked Creek Church of Christ Doris was a choir leader, Sunday school teacher, and part time pianist. She was also a beautician.
Those left to cherish her memory include: her son Timothy G. (Melissa) Jarrell, grandson Earl Jarrell, niece Ericka (Nicholas) Hernandez Hostetter and great niece and nephew Christina and Samuel Hostetter. Step-granddaughters Amanda (Joe) Vance and Robyn Brammer and 2 step-great grandchildren Xander Vance and Elijah Vance.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday December 23, 2015 at the Crooked Creek Church of Christ with Ron Abshire officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday also at the church.
Members of the church will serve as pallbearers.
