Dosha Sue Carter, 78 of Verdunville, WV passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at Trinity Health Care of Logan.
She was born November 21, 1943, to the late Willis Sr. and Euna Carter at home on Buckfork in Logan County, WV. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Nelson; brothers, James Carter, Ralph Carter, and Rickey Carter; sister, Essie Carter; nieces, Rebecca Hannah, and Andrea Tomblin; nephews, Jonathan Carter, and Jarrod Carter; brothers-in-law, Raymond Hannah, and Harvey Carter.
Dosha loved her four-legged furry children! She was a 1963 graduate of Logan High School. Dosha kept in touch with several od her classmates and enjoyed luncheons and outings with them.
Survivors include her sisters, Jessie Hannah, and Donnretta Carter; brother, Willis (Gay) Carter Jr.; very special neighbors, Sherlene Olson, Barb, and Wendell Bryant; nieces, Debra (Dick) Westerfield, Teresa (Don) Sawyers, Leah Ann (Glen) Gilbert, Ellen (Keith) Fetters, Euna Renee Askins, and Teri Tomblin; nephews, Joseph Carter, Jason Carter, and Ralph Carter Jr.
Much appreciation to all the staff of Trinity Health Care Services for their loving care of Dosha.
Graveside services will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, August 1, 2022, in the mausoleum at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pecks Mill, WV with Rev. Dave McCloud officiating. Burial will follow the services. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. Monday, at Akers-James Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Adkins, Odell Hensley, Dennis Carter, Joseph Carter, Don Sawyers, Isaiah Tomblin, and Richard Westerfield.
