Drema S. Vance, 58, died at her home on May 17, 2021. She was born December 9, 1962
in Logan, West Virginia. Drema was the daughter of James and Betty (Starr) Marcum. In addition to her
parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bobby Lee Vance, sisters Ola June Marcum,
Bessie Vance and Alice White and brother, James Gregg Marcum.
Dremaâs Life will forever be cherished by her 4 children and their spouses: Bobby (Erika) Vance of
Huntington, West Virginia, Johnathon (Virginia) Vance of Huntington, West Virginia, Betty (Chad)
Hunter of Logan, West Virginia, and Amy Nickles, of Richlands, Virginia. She had 13 grandchildren that
meant the world to her, and she means the world to them: Nevaeh Vance, Addison Vance, Ariyana Vance, Ethan Aldridge, Chad Hunter Jr., Jaxon Hunter, Alicea (Paige) Maynor, Heaven Nickles, Shannon Nickles Jr., Gabe Nickels, Rashell Nickles, Elyssa Franklin and Caylan Franklin; Her sister Edna (Ray) Marcum and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 10 a.m. for her family, 11 a.m. for her friends and services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 23, 2021, at Akers-James Funeral Home. Barney Goins will be leading the service. The burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, as Drema will be laid to rest next to her husband.
Pallbearers will include: Bobby Vance, Jonathon Vance, Codey Tomblin, Brian Phipps, Steven Ritz, and Ethan Aldridge.
