Edna Gail (Nunley) Marcum, 70 of Holden, WV passed away at her home on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 with her husband, sister, and grandson, Joseph by her side.
Gail was born on Friday, March 25, 1949 in Pike County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Teddie and Jenny Nunley. Gail was a Christian who always put Christ first in her life. She was such a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, in-law and friend. Preceding her in death were two brothers, James âKJâ Nunley and Jerry Nunley; father-in-law, Elwood Marcum, and her sister-in-law, Caroline Lackey.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Marcum, who she married on May 27, 1967, and they had 52 blessed years of marriage together; daughter, Amy (Tony) Jeffrey of Daytona Beach, FL; son, Bryan Marcum of Holden, WV; five granddaughters, Peyton (Tyler) Lendearo, Abigail Jeffrey, Elayna Marcum, Ariel Jeffrey, and Bryanna Marcum; grandsons, Joseph Marcum and Wyatt Jeffrey; great-granddaughter, Fiona Lendearo; great-grandson, Jaxxon Marcum; sister, Janet Houck of Holden, WV; brother, Dencil (Brenda) Nunley of Monaville, WV; mother-in-law, Aleta Marcum of London, KY; three brothers-in-law, Ed (Lora) Marcum of London, KY, J.D. (Darlene) Marcum of Maryville, TN and Tom Lackey of London, KY. She is also survived by nine nieces and six nephews along with many more family members and friends, whom she loved dearly.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday January 27, 2020 at Akers-James Funeral Home at Logan with Rev. James Fortune officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Chapmanville, WV. Pallbearers will be close family and friends. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service, Monday at the funeral home. Following the burial 5&6 Holden FWB Church will be having a dinner at the church. All family and friends are welcome to attend.
