Edward Jr. Cremeans, 89, of Whitman, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September, 20 2014 at the Trinity Healthcare Services in Henlawson.
Born December 30, 1924 in Huntington, he was the son of the late Thomas Leslie Cremeans and Verbie Mae Meehling Cremeans of Crooked Creek.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Beulah Mae Whitt Cremeans; five daughters: Lois (John) Damron, Donna Cornish, Brenda (Tommy) Barker, Vickie (Kenneth) Pritchard, and Lesa (Steve) Martin; one brother-in-law that he raised as a son, Willard V. âSonnyâ (Donna) Adams; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.
He was a 52 year member and deacon of the Shamrock Freewill Baptist Church, a US Army Veterans of WWII and a retired coal miner. He was a member of the auxiliary of the Logan General Hospital and leaves behind a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Sep. 24, 2014 at James Funeral Home in Aracoma. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Pecks Mill. He will be laid to rest by his two grandsons: Brandon Tomblin and Ken Barker and his four granddaughtersâ husbands: Dave Deskins, Eric Gant, Brandon Vance, and Shane Nichols. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, Sep. 23, 2014 from 6-9 p.m.
