Elizabeth Ardell Conley

Elizabeth Ardell Conley, 86, of Peach Creek passed away Saturday, December 6, 2008 at Logan Regional Medical Center. She was born August 20, 1922 in Logan, WV a daughter of the late Floyd and Ruth Whitman McNeely. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Herschel Conley, one stepson Ronald, two brothers Leo McNeely and Maxwell McNeely and two sisters Levita Fleming and Anise Varney. Mrs. Conley was a homemaker. Survivors include her children Charles Conley of Wilmington, Delaware, Sharon Crook of Cameron, Ohio, James Conley of Cameron, Ohio, Dave (Crock) Conley and Gary Conley both of Logan, WV. One Stepdaughter Imogene Slack of Beckley, WV Four brothers Rodney (Crip) McNeely of Huntington, WV, Butch McNeely of Holden, WV, Jerry McNeely of Nitro, WV and James McNeely of Columbia, TN. Two sisters Helen Mullins of Lebanon Junction, KY and Janice Staggs of Stiger, OK. 10 Grandchildren, 21 Great-Grandchildren and 3 Great Great-Grandchildren. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the 21 Freewill Baptist Church at Holden with the Revs. John T. Vance and Lacy Cox Jr. Burial will follow at the Whitman family Cemetery at Crooked Creek. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the James Funeral Home Chapel.
