Everett âEarlâ Fowler, 71 of Stollings departed this life at 1 p.m. on Wednesday October 18 at Logan Regional Medical Center surrounded by family.
He was born November 13, 1945 in Manila, Boone County, WV to the late Everett B. and Vallie M. Fowler. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by: his older sister, Emilie McCray; twin sister, Pearl Lambert; and a grandson, Dylan Q. Fowler.
He was well known as the potato chip man as he had been employed by Dardi Distributing for over forty years. Dardi Distributing is owned and operated by John and Wanda Dardi whom he thought of as family. He was a member of Orville Holiness Church.
He is survived by: his wife, Sharon Smith Fowler; his son, Chad E. Fowler; grandson, Evan Q. Fowler; sister, Lucille McDonald; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday October 20 at Akers-James Funeral Home with his nephew, Dr. Bill McDonald officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
Friends and family may call from 12 p.m. until the time of the service Friday also at the funeral home.
