Evette Page was born on May 15, 1948 in Holden, WV with her twin Judy Annette to Horatio T and Flora L Page. At age 18 Evette relocated to Gary, IN with her older sister Hilda Nalls. She was the owner of Evette's Candy Store that the neighborhood loved in East Glen Park. She then went on to be the first female store manager of Value Mart in Gary, IN, where she worked there for over 20 years. At age 60 Evette returned to Logan, West Virginia where she became a proud member of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church under Reverend James Mosley. There she was the Choir Director. Evette had a captivating smile that lit up the room. In her spare time, she loved cooking for her family her famous chicken dumplings and tacos. She also loved spending hours working on 500+ puzzle pieces, playing cards and watching the Lifetime Movie Network Channel.
Evette made her transition to her Heavenly Home on December 31, 2020 at 72 years old at Logan Regional Medical Center.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories with her loving children, three daughters: Tara (James) Smith, Stephanie Heath, Vernita Morgan-Jones, one son Frank Morgan Jr and bonus son Ricky Heath Sr. Four sisters, her twin Judy Annette Murphy, Rosemary Heard, Hilda Nalls and Mona Lisa Murphy and one brother Thomas Page. Two brothers in law, Reverend Tony J Murphy and Roosevelt Heard. Twenty-one grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren with one additional great grandchild due in 2021. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and family friends.
Awaiting for her to arrive home with open arms is her parents Horatio T and Flora Lee Page and her brother William Page.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 9th, 9-12pm. Services directly after.
