Flossie Blackburn Haynes, 96, of Crooked Creek went home to be with the Lord on January 24, 2008. She was born January 11, 1912 at Stone, KY to the late Roland T. and Parlee Blackburn Scott. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Moss R. Haynes. Two daughters; Dot Lee and Jeaneene Lee. One grandson, Myron McNeely, one great-grandson, Levi White, three sisters and two brothers. Flossie was a member of the Crooked Creek Church of Christ and a former member of the Holden Garden Club. She enjoyed life and life enjoyed her. She is survived by one son, Sam (Florence) Haynes of Russellville, WV. Five daughters; Babaette (Robert) Johnson of Houston, TX, Pat (Benton) Shamblin of Stollings, WV, Margaret McNeely of Crooked Creek, Daphenia (Homer) Whitman of Foster and Eleanor (Harless) White of Foster, WV. Twenty-four grandchildren, forty great-grandchildren and sixteen great-great-grandchildren. One special niece, Barbara Blackburn of Huntington and a special nephew, Raymond Herrell of El Paso, TX. She will be great-missed by many. Visitation will be Sunday, January 27, 2008 from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M. at James Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Monday, January 28, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at James Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Secrist officiating. Burial will follow in the Haynes-Hill Family Cemetery at Russellville, WV.
