Frances âFranâ Sellards, 90, of Logan Center Nursing Home, formerly of West Logan, went Home to be with her Lord and Savior, November 10, 2019, at Logan Center. Born September 20, 1929, in Crooked Creek W.Va., Fran was the daughter of the late C.E. and Elizabeth Markins.
Fran was a homemaker who enjoyed hosting family events and taking care of loved ones. She was an excellent cook who took great pleasure in providing loving meals for her family.
In addition to her parents, Fran was preceded in death by her husband, Clark Sellards, who she has missed every day since he went to be with his Heavenly Father; her son, Danny Clark Sellards, who filled her life with music; her sisters, Drusie Williams, Ruth Kerns, Maggie Markins, and Naomi Markins; her brothers, Charles Markins and Carlson Markins; and a special nephew, Larry Williams.
Fran lived in West Logan for most of her life and was a member of West Logan Missionary Baptist Church. We can truly now say, âIt Is Well With Her Soul.â
She is survived by her granddaughter, Meagan (Evan) Hedrick of Palm Harbor, Florida; her great-granddaughters, Gracelynn and Emma Hedrick of Palm Harbor, Florida; her niece, Gloria (Robert) Thomas of Pensacola, Florida; her nephew, Gary (Wenda) Kerns of St. Petersburg, Florida; and additional great nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted Saturday November 16, 2019, at noon at Akers-James Funeral Home in Aracoma with Rev. Bob Morris officiating. Calling hours will be held prior to the service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday. Frances will be laid to Eternal rest beside her husband and son at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
