Gaynell McCloud, 67 of Harts, WV departed this life Tuesday, July 28,2020 at Logan Regional Medical Center after a long illness.
She was the daughter of the late Elbert And Annie Collins. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Paul McCloud Sr., one brother Fred Collins and his wife Betty Collins, one step son Paul Jr. McCloud, and her son in-law Dale Atkins.
She is now in the loving arms of her Heavenly Father, who she served for 39 years as a member of the Mudfork Freewill Baptist Church. Her most prized possessions were her family, children, and grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children and step children: Charlene Atkins, Kimberly (Brian) Turner, Freddie McCloud, Susie McCloud, Michael McCloud, Larry McCloud, Lillian McCloud, Pauline Conley, and Ricky Frye. Three Sisters: Carrie Connolly, Malinda (Byrd) Workman, Phyllis Collins and Three Brothers: Elbert Jr. (Dorothy) Collins, Gary (Jean) Collins, and Gilbert (Connie) Collins. Also, her 22 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. A host of nieces and nephews who she also loved dearly.
The family would like to thank all those who have helped and visited her through the years.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2020 at Akers-James Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Newsome officiating. Burial will follow in the Collins Cemetery, Buck Fork, Harts, WV. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service, Friday at the funeral home.
Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic and the Governorâs guidelines for large gatherings only 25 people will be allowed in the facility at one time. Please plan your visit accordingly as you may be asked to wait before entering the building. Face coverings are also required when inside the building and social distancing should be taken into consideration.
