Geneva Ann Cantrell, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, and friend, was called Home to be with the Lord on September 21, 2023 at her residence. Born on November 20, 1944, in Ethel, WV to Orville and Vesta (Sutphin) Craddock.
Ann was a loving and devoted wife to her husband of 61 years, Franklin Dee Cantrell. Their love was a shining example to all who knew them. Together they built a strong foundation of love and support that lasted throughout their years.
As a mother, Ann was an incredible source of love and guidance to her children. She cherished her son Lesley Kyle Cantrell, who preceded her in death, and daughter Deanna (Dean) Woerner. Ann's unwavering love and care for her children provided them with the tools they needed to succeed in life.
Ann's legacy extended beyond her immediate family. She enriched the lives of her grandchildren: Holly Elizabeth Cantrell, Kent Franklin Woerner, Landon Cantrell, and Franklin Kyle Cantrell. Each grandchild held a special place in Ann's heart and brought immeasurable joy into her life. Additionally, her great-grandsons Axton Cantrell and Sylas Cantrell were the light of her later years.
She will be remembered as a compassionate and caring individual who touched the lives of so many. Her kind spirit radiated warmth wherever she went. Her optimistic outlook on life inspired those around her to appreciate the simple joys and find happiness in the most unexpected places.
