George Cavendish

George Robert "Bob" Cavendish Jr., 59 , of Sunbeam departed this life suddenly on March 22, 2009. He was born December 1, 1949 a son of the late George R. Cavendish Sr., and Edith Jones formerly of Fayetteville, WV. Known as "Bob" to his loved ones and friends he was a retired Federal Mine Inspector with MSHA in Logan for 25 years. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. Bob loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his loving wife Mary Cavendish. He is also survived by his children Annette Baker of Carrolton, GA, Tracy Griffin of Dover, NC, Danny Cavendish of Fayetteville, WV, Stepdaughter Geneva Messer of Holden, WV. Four grandchildren Jackie, David, Alex and Michael. Brothers Jim Treadway of Spearfish, SD and Michael Jones of Dayton, OH a special friend Chuck Moore and a host of of family and friends. Services will be visitation only on Thursday March 26, 2009 at the James Funeral Home Chapel from 6-9 p.m. There will be no funeral service as his body will be cremated.
