George Everett Flint, 71 of Holden departed this life Saturday July 30, 2016 at Logan Regional Medical Center.
He was born October 1, 1944 in Ottawa, WV to the late Wilson E. Flint and Marylene Bias Flint. In addition to his parents he also preceded in death by his sister, Della Dobbins.
Mr. Flint was a retired coal miner and member of the 5 & 6 Holden FWB Church.
Those left to cherish his memory include: his wife, Patricia Flint; his son, Mark E. (Angela) Flint of Pomeroy, OH; daughter, Melissa Avis (Michael Harvey) of Holden; brother, Freddie (Betty) Flint of Cleveland, OH; sister, Barbara Lowery of Cleveland, OH; grandchildren, Brittany Danielle Avis, Jared Seth Avis, Trevor Mark Flint, and Brody Everett (Rebecca) Flint. George was also excited to become a great-grandfather with his first great-grandchild due in February. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Billy Dobbins of Cleveland, OH and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday August 3 at the 5 & 6 Holden FWB Church with Larry Light officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby. Visitation will be from 12 â 2 p.m. Wednesday also at the church.
Pallbearers will be: Seth Avis, Brody Flint, Trevor Flint, Freddie Flint, Wilson Flint, and Jon Lukacs.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Haskel Fugate and Mike Harvey.
