Georgia Kirk

Georgia Kirk 72 whom resided with her daughter in Dingess, WV passed away Tuesday November 2, 2010 at Logan Regional Medical Center after a long illness. She was born June 16, 1938 at Logan. She was the daughter of the late Bradley and Matilda Fields. in addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years Oscar D. Kirk, an infant daughter Vanessa Joy, two sisters Nanny and Hazel Fields, two brothers Buster and Leonard Fields and 2 great grandchildren Vanessa Bragg and Vanessa Shively. She is survived by one daughter Estelle (Virgil) Meade of Dingess, three sons Clarence (Carol) Kirk of Oceana, Randall (Lola) Kirk of Lexington, N.C. and Oscar Lee Kirk of Logan. Four sisters Thelma, Bonnie, Wilma and Abby Fields all of Hazard, Ky. and two brothers Tootie and Peanut Fields, 16 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Also Drema Kirk whom she loved dearly and her caregiver Meloney Marcum. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday November 6, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at James Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Barney Goins officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Visitation will be from 6-9 P.M. Friday November 5, 2010 at James Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Kirk, Chris Kirk, James Kirk, Virgil Meade, Jesse Wellman, Clarence Kirk and Alternate Randall Kirk.
