Harmon Maynard, 71, of Delbarton passed away Friday, December 28, 2007 in Logan Regional Medical Center. He was born July 4, 1936 at Upper Sheppardtown Rd. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Alice Hunt Maynard. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Henry F. Maynard. Mr. Maynard was a Coal Miner and a member of the Central United Baptist Church. Those he left behind include his wife, Patricia A. (Curry) Maynard. His daughters; Deidra (Gary) Adkins of Upper Sheppardtown, Sheria Maynard (CB Tooley) of Wayne and Timlen (Teddy) Kitts of Chesterfield, VA. His son, Leonard J. (Katie) Maynard of Caney Branch. His grandchildren; Laura Rose, Garret, Joshua, Lynetta, Brittani and Kaylen. His step-grandchildren; Billie, Marie, Christopher and Dawson. His special grandchild, Ermal L. " Dough Belly" Vance III. His brothers; John Lewis of Riffe Branch, Elva (Brigette), Ken (Lynn) of Deffiance, OH., Raymond (Rose) of Ft. Gay, Andy (Ella Jean) of Old Field Br. and Richard (Patricia) of Duncan Fork. His sisters; Nancy (Johnny) Gore of Midlothan, VA., Brookie Hall and Berthe Estepp borth of Delbarton, and Mertie (Buddy) Smith of Powahtan, VA. Also surviving Mr. Maynard are numerous nieces and nephews and family and friends. Visitation will be Sunday, December 30, 2007 from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M. at the Central United Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be Monday, December 31, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at the Central United Baptist Church with Rev. Glenn White Jr. and Larry Brammer officiating. Burial will follow in the Maynard Cemetery at Upper Sheppardtown Rd. with Military Graveside Rites. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
