Harold Howard Smith

Harold Howard Smith Sr., 74, of Stollings passed away Monday May 28, 2007 with his family by his bedside. He was born June 16, 1932 in Blair, WV to the late Dora Sheppard Smith and Howard Smith. Harold was a member of the Sunbeam Chapel and a UMWA member for 54 years. He was also preceded in death by one grandson, Mark Gibson. Two brothers; Raymond Smith and Junior Smith. Two sisters; Ruth Belcher and Virginia Mills. Those left to cherish his memory in his wife of 54 years, Macelene Webb Smith. Three daughters, Karen (Charlie) Walden, Dora (Tom) Swafford and Cindy (Roger) Hooker. Three sons; Harold (Fredia) Smith Jr., Raymond (Lana) Smith and Dowald Smith. One sister, Elizabeth (Burgess) Jarrel. Sixteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Also surviving Harold are several nephews and nieces and close friends. Visitation will be Thursday May 31, 2007 from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M. at James Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Friday June 1, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at James Funeral Home with Rev. James Fortune and Rev. Wallace Mullins Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Family and friends will be pallbearers. Condolences may be left at www.jamesfh.com.
