HARRY JOSEPH MARSHALL WILLIAMS, 29 of Columbus OH, passed away Friday, May 29, 2020. He was born on March 21, 1991 in Logan, WV to the late Emily âKimmyâ Chantele Williams. In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his brother: Nico DeHarveyâA Williams; his brother-in-law: Cornelius âCornyâ Godfrey, His namesake Uncle Harry Williams. Grandparents: Clemmie Lee & Kenneth Henderson. Grandfather: Lawson Godfrey, Father-in-law: Roger Lowe; as well as several other loved ones & friends.
He received his education from Springhill & Geneva Kent Elementary, Cammack & Logan Middle, Logan & Huntington High Schools. He was employed by Jenis Ice Cream & Arbys. Harry Joe was baptized in Jesus name at an early age in Huntington WV at the Glorious Church of God in Christ under the Pastoralship of the late Pastor Martha âMAâ Johnson. He attended Sunday School, he was a member of the Childrenâs Choir, and the youth and combined choirs. He also attended Ebenezer Baptist Church in Logan, WV.
Harry Joe LOVED his family. He enjoyed gathering for cookouts and parties with them. He liked playing cards, shopping at Walmart in the middle of the night, especially for Christmas and the kidâs birthdays. He loved gaming with his brother and friends online and watching DRAGON BALL Z. He also liked lifting weights, bowling, lounging around piled up with Jetta and his babies watching movies. He loved eating steak, going out to eat with Jetta and his kids. They also went camping, swimming, to the zoo and enjoyed several other outdoor activates as a family unit.
Harry Joe is survived by the love of his life of 15 years: Rojet âJETTAâ Lowe. The pride of his life his children: Emily Hope Nico Williams, Joe Logan Williams, Kimberly Jane Williams & Harmony Whitney Williams. Sister: AâBreka Williams. Brothers: Cory Williams & Orlando Williams. Grandmothers: Linda Sue Williams & Lucy Godfrey. Sister-in-laws: MonaLisa Montgomery & Reginia (Jermaine) Tolliver. Brother-in-law: Craig Montgomery. Mother-in-law: Regina Montgomery. Aunts: LaShari âSissyâ Glover, Alberta Jean Wilson, Gloria Kelly, Susie Harris, Patty Carter, Tammy Harris, & Surgery Blunt. Uncles: Michael Williams, Antwon Williams, Pete Kelly, Mark Montgomery & Alfred Montgomery. Nieces & Nephews: Jay, Emma, Tramaine, Malik, & Josiah, Zerihana, Jermere, Kaden, Kieran, Anthony, Antonio, and Naomi. Special cousins: Chris, Neal, Toi, Michael, Davon, Brant, Porky, SaySay, Footer, & Jerome. Special friends: Brandon Toney, Dion, Derrick, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Akers-James Funeral Home at Logan, WV with Evangelist LaShari âSissyâ Glover officiating. Following the services his remains are to be cremated. Viewing will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday, at the funeral home.
Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic and the CDCâs guidelines for large gatherings only 25 people may be permitted in the facility at one time. Please plan your visit accordingly. The family request that if you plan on attending please where a face covering and maintain social distancing. For those unable to attend the services will be live streamed through the link on our website www.jamesfh.com and online condolences may be left there also.
