Henderson Baisden Jr. 77, departed this life Saturday, December 16, 2023, at his home at Verdunville.
He was born January 23, 1947, at Logan to the late Henderson Sr. and Lucille (Jackson) Baisden. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Bobby Baisden, Thomas Madison Baisden, and Roger Ray Baisden; brothers-in-law, Riley A. Browning, and Harold McCloud; niece, Tracy Baisden; and nephew, Thomas Michael Browning.
Jr was a 2-year veteran of the US Army, and a retired coal miner with 38 years of service.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Evelyn Rockel Baisden; daughter, Lisa Ann Baisden; granddaughters, Keisha Montgomery, and Emily Jeffrey; great-grandchildren, J.J. Barker, Reed Barker, and Quinn Ann Jeffrey.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, December 22, 2023, at Akers-James Funeral Home with Rev. Barney Goins officiating. Burial will follow in the Lucille Jackson Baisden Family Cemetery at Calloway Camp in Verdunville. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
