Herman Ray Hinchman, 82, of McConnell passed away Saturday July 14, 2007 at Logan Regional Medical Center from a short term illness. He was born June 30, 1925 at McConnell. He was the son of the late Virgil and Nora Clay Hinchman also of McConnell. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his sister, Dot Jackson. Herman was a member of the McConnell Tabernacle, he was also a Marine in the Korean War and he worked for Pepsi Cola Bottling Co. for 32 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and riding motor cycle's. Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Lucille McClellan Hinchman of McConnell. One daughter, Joan May Gorden of McVeigh, Ky. Three sons; Cletis Ray Hinchman of Clendenen, WV, Darrell Hinchman of McConnell and Virgil (Rachael) Hinchman of Whitman. Nine grandchilren, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday July 17, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at the James Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Orville Syner and Rev. John Perovich officiating. Burial will follow in the Hinchman Cemetery at McConnell. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M.
