Hester Frye 75 of Whitman went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and her husband the late Rev. Ted Frye on Monday April 5, 2010 at CAMC General Division in Charleston. She was born February 23, 1935 she was the daughter of the late Pat and Virginia Smith. She served the Lord for over 50 years. Hester was co-founder and member of The Call to the Lost Tabernacle of Mud Fork. She and her husband Ted also had a broadcast on WVOW during their time here on earth dedicated to winning souls to Jesus. It was also called Call to the Lost. Her main objective in life was to serve God and see people saved.
Survivors include her 6 children: Dena (Danny) Craddock of Spencer, WV, Doreen (Jim) Woody of Lake, Tammy Crane of Charleston, Mike (Hattie) Frye of Harts, Pete (Heather) Frye Cora and Tara (George) White of Whitman, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her 2 very special friends, her dog Peaches and Loretha Peedle Johnson. She had many church friends and family.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday April 9, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at James Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Denny Evans officiating. Burial will follow in the Browning Cemetery at Little Harts.
