Ida Mae Vance Hatton, 81 of Whitman went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at Pikeville Medical Center at Pikeville, KY.
Ida was born July 9, 1937 to the late Frank H. and Mary Lowe Vance. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by: her husband of 40 years, âWillieâ Hatton Sr.; brothers, Charles Vance, and Robert Vance; and sister, Helen Vance Kovach.
Ida was a retired Sears employee and she attended the First Christian Church of Logan. Ida loved to entertain family and friends and she enjoyed cooking and traveling.
She is survived by: her son, Kenny (Joan) Hatton of Chapmanville; grandchildren, Lee Hatton, Amy Pruitt, Billy (Stephanie) Vance II, and Kristi Vance all of Chapmanville; sister, Josephine Eastman of Hot Springs, AR; 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and a host of beloved friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday September 14, 2018 at Akers-James Funeral Home with Rev. Rocky Chaffin officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Pallbearers will be: Will Vance, Billy Vance II, Lee Hatton, Devin Vance, Joe Vance, and Tim Jarrell.
