Ivan L. Gore

Ivan L. Gore 77 of East Fork of Twelve Pole went home to be with the Lord on Monday January 11, 2010. Ivan was a faithful member of the Trace Church of God at Dingess. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Ivan loved the LOrd and spent his life praising, seeking and spreading God's Word. Ivan loved his family, church, friends and most of all God. Ivan was preceded in death by his Parents Willis and Belva Meeks Gore, brothers Howard and Marvin Gore, sisters Imogene Gore, Erma Farrell and Marilyn Baisden. He is survived by his wife Yvonne Gore of East Fork, Daughters Connie (Michael) Fortner of East Fork, Dani (Myron) Sowards of Barboursville, Jamie Gore and Heather Thompson of East Fork and Rhonda (Scotty) Mullins of Chapmanville, grandchildren Keith (Denise) Tomblin, Tadd and Drew Fortner all of East Fork and Gavin Sowards of Barboursville, great grandson Dominic Tomblin of East Fork, one brother Rev. Ken Gore of Lenore and many more extended family and friends. He was a founding member of the East Fork Volunteer Fire Dept. and was currently serving on the Board of Directors. Services will be at the Trace Church of God at Dingess on Saturday January 30, 2010 with visitation from 12:00 to 2:00 with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Bobby Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the Gore Family Cemetery on East Fork of Twelve Pole.
