Jack Harold Legg

Jack Harold Legg 61 of Verdunville passed away Friday June 12, 2009 at Logan Regional Medical Center. He was born September 13, 1947 at Braeholm, WV. He was the son of the late Thomas and Angeline Castles Legg. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brothers Robert and Dwight Legg and his sister Barbara Mathis. Jack worked for the WVDHHR for over 25 years and 10 years as a juvenile probation officer for Logan County.He was also a 1965 graduate of Logan High School, a 1977 graduate of Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College and a 1985 graduate of WV State University. He was also a US Air Force Veteran having served his country from 3-24-1966 to 3-2-1970 and from 3-2-1973 until 6-27-1975. Survivors include his wife Sarah Browning Legg, Two Daughters Teresa Ann Hoffman address unknown and Allisa Scarberry, Brothers Kenneth Legg of Verdunville and Melvin Legg of Santa Ysabel, California, Sister Frances Oliff of Mission Hills, California and several nephews and nieces and a host of dear relatives. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday June 17, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at James Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lonnie Gore and Rev. Barney Goins officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens with Military Graveside Services. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. Tuesday June 16, 2009 at James Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Legg, Joe Legg, Timmy Sargent, Donald Sargent, James Bailey and Danny Bailey.Honorary Pallbearers will be Bob Farris, Tony Deer II, Bennie Gilco, James Williamson and Bill Finley.
