Jack Slazo, 90 of Holden, WV went home to be with the Lord Thursday, June 15th, 2023, at CAMC Memorial Hospice Care.
He was born April 16, 1933 to the late Steve and Julie Slazo. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Peggy Slazo; brothers, Billy Slazo, and Richard Fowler.
Jack loved people, loved to talk, loved his church, loved Mae’s cooking, and especially loved trading pocket knives. He will surely be missed.
Jack is survived by his loving wife, Wilda Mae Slazo; brother, Bobby Fowler; sister, Mazzie Hall; daughter, Cindy (Wayne) Clay; grandchildren, Trace Clay, Caitlin Smith, Tori Scaggs, Britt Comer; stepdaughter, Sherri (Don) Smith; stepson, Ken (Rose) Scaggs. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Akers-James Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Morris officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Chapmanville, West Virginia. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of the service, Wednesday at the funeral home.
