Jackie Dingess

Jackie Dingess, 73, of Dingess passed away Sunday April 1, 2007 at the residence of her sister in Verdunville. Born June 14, 1933 in Bartley, WV she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Nell Grubb. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Lawrence Dingess, two sons; Darrell Wellman and Larry Joe Dingess and one sister, June Harlow. Survivors include her two sons; Doyle (Kay) Wellman of Dingess and Robert (Cheryl) Dingess of Whitman. One sister, Joy Mullins Workman. Three brothers; Joe Grubb of Dingess, Robbie Grubb of Eustis, Fl., and Charles Grubb of Addison, IL. She is also survived by three grandsons; Daniel Varney, David Dingess and Doyle Wellman Jr. Two granddaughters; Charlotte and Monica Wellman. Her great-granddaughter Anna all from Arizona. One great-grandson, Bradley Dingess of Danville. Two very special friends; Lula Tomblin and Neva Baisden and many nieces and nephews and family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday April 3, 2007 from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M at the Mt. Hope Freewill Baptist Church at Dingess where special singing will begin at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be Wednesday April 4, 2007 at 11:00 A.M with Rev. Joaquine Ooten officiating. Burial will follow in Lenore Memorial Gardens at Lenore.
